WHAT CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US

I had a fantastic time when I stayed at Nelos Velo. It was very well thought out the accommodation. The bike rides we did were brilliant. We visited some local restaurants in the evening. The food was amongst the best I've ever tasted. 10/10 all round Nelo. Have already booked for next year.

I'm a very keen cyclist and just had the best time ever cycling in Europe. I was asked which route I would like to do and this was all planned out for the next days cycling. I will definitely be back. In a word - awesome.

Ceriana is a great little village positioned in the mountains above cyclings world famous Poggio. The final climb and decent of the Milan - San Remo pro bike race “monument”. So beginning every ride by descending the poggio is an awesome event in its own right! Thinking of just some of the legends of cycling such as Merckx, Coppi, Moser, Kelly that have flown down the poggio to victory, together with today’s hero’s of professional cycling should certainly inspire you to choose Nelos Velo as a go to destination for your next cycling holiday/training camp. Aside from the Poggio there’s lots of varied terrain to explore, including a rolling coastline, inland climbs and country side terrain for all your cycling needs. Evenings can be spent in Ceriana at one of the little local restaurants or bars, or for more varied options San Remo has loads to offer. If your feeling even more adventurous, a trip to along the coast to nearby Monico or Nice, will give you some of the finest food and evening entertainment options on the planet. So join the legends of the past and future and book your stay at the batcave, I loved it and I’m sure you will too!

Just returned from a fantastic long weekend cycling trip, staying in the Bat Cave in Ceriana. Ideal accommodation for a group of cyclists including bike rack, tools and repair stand which just makes thing so easy. Kitchen, TV, music, wi-fi and a vast array of interesting furnishings, from the adjustable marble table mounted on a pneumatic dentist chair base to the 'Poggio challenge' trophy fashioned from a airplane wing tip, there is plenty to look at and wonder.

Being out for a short break I didn’t want to waste too much time finding my way around and I needn’t have worried with Luca on hand to guide the rides each day. I really felt like we made the most of the time in the saddle and got to see lots of the local area. Clearly in great shape, Luca was happy to ride at whatever pace the group could manage and waited patiently at the junctions so no-one got lost. His routes took account of the prevailing wind and local conditions and he ensured we passed by village fountains regularly to restock the bidons which was a life saver in the glorious sunshine we enjoyed.

Ceriana is a jewel, being based in the hills you are already on your way for a ride further in and up or to drop down easily onto the impressive bike path in San Remo for rides up and down the coast. The local cafes, bars and restaurants were excellent with a special treat one evening eating delicious authentic and simple Italian cuisine at a family run Trattoria by the main square.

I can’t wait to come back - and maybe next time try some of the local mountain bike tracks.
